Dr. Kahn-Rose is a very experienced psychiatrist, who treats patients over 18 years of age. He subspecializes in geriatric psychiatry. Among his areas of expertise are psychopharmacology and psychotherapy. He believes, first and foremost, in maintaining the dignity of his patients and maximizing the quality of life for his patients. His approach is individualized to each patient's particular needs. He strives to be flexible, innovative and engaging his patients in an effort to maximize the successful achievement of his patient's goals.

Dr. Robert Kahn-Rose, M.D., Ph.D.
Dr. Kahn-Rose is a native of Southern California. He received his B.S. from the University of California, Irvine, his M.D. from Albert Einstein College of Medicine and his Ph.D. from the Sue Golding Graduate School of Albert Einstein for research on the hormonal influences on memory. He trained in Psychiatry at the University of Chicago, where he completed a residency and a fellowship in Biological Psychiatry, and remained on the faculty as an Assistant Professor. In 1988, he joined the faculty of UCLA as an Associate Professor of Psychiatry. Among other positions, Dr. Kahn-Rose has been the Co-Director of the UCLA Alzheimer's Disease and Memory Disorders Center, the Medical Director of psychiatric inpatient units, and the Medical Director of skilled nursing facilities. He has been in private practice since 1993. In addition, Dr. Kahn-Rose has extensive experience providing consultations to attorneys. His areas of expertise include adult and geriatric psychiatry (capacity evaluations, malpractice cases and others) and Worker's Compensation. He has provided expert witness testimony in numerous depositions and court trials. ​
